The $172.26 T-Shirt
Every now and again, I like to enjoy a Coke and smile. Maybe because Coke adds life. Or because it’s the real thing. Or maybe because Coke simply tastes good. I dunno.
Recently I noticed the 12-packs of Coca-Cola I buy have codes on them that allow me to save points for fabulaous prizes at MyCokeRewards.com, so I figured what the heck, why not tear off the rewards codes, put them into the internet computer here, and get myself something with my points, perhaps a t-shirt.
I have 108 points now. Only 240 points to go until I get a Coke T-shirt that looks similar to this:
The shirt costs 348 points. Each 12 pack I purchase gives me 10 points. That means I’ll have to buy 34.8 12 packs to get the t-shirt. A not-on-sale 12-pack of Coca-Cola sells for $4.95. Those 34.8 12 packs will cost me:
$172.26
That means I’ll be wearing a t-shirt valued at $172.26. That is awesome.
Granted, I will get to enjoy the delicious cans of Coca-Cola while saving up the points for the shirt. That’s surely a bonus. Plus, I almost always buy my soda pop at a sale price, so the shirt will cost less than $172.26. And, in reality, I will actually be paying for the soda; the points come in the box free, so the t-shirt will actually cost nothing. Perhaps not even postage.
But I do like the idea that I’ll be downing $172.26 worth of soda to get my sticky hands on this extreme shirt. It gives me something to look forward to in life. heck, maybe I’ll save up enough points to get a Coke sweatshirt or hoodie.
